Jun 25   The first commercial color TV program was seen. It was a four-hour-long show presented on CBS and carried in New York City, Baltimore, Philadelphia, Boston and Washington, D.C. Arthur Godfrey, Faye Emerson, Sam Levenson and Ed Sullivan starred in the TV milestone.
